If the weather is forecast to be awful on the day of our shoot, here are the options; Firstly, we could simply rearrange. The alternative? be prepared to get wet - and look like you are enjoying it! Stealing kisses under shelters, kids making the most of huge puddles or slow dancing in a downpour makes fantastic intimate photos, but it gets cold pretty quick. Most of the time soggy, grumpy kids are not going to want to play ball, this could have an undesired effect and impact your photographs. It would be a shame to waste time and money trying to achieve the impossible sometimes and admit defeat. This is all part of the job, I am used to being flexible.

Equally, in the case of a genuine crisis (Unexpected major travel delays, illness, etc.) it is not a problem to rearrange for another date. The photoshoot fee is non-refundable, but you can change the date if you really need to. I would appreciate as much notice as possible, if you plan to reschedule, but I also appreciate that this isn’t always possible.

Firstly, I am a mum of two. - I get it!

I know you just want *one* photo of the whole family together looking happy & smiley. Honestly, the best advice I can give you is to just go with the flow! Allow me to gently guide you. We will talk beforehand to decide the best time & place to work together. We will take into consideration how to make this work for everyone involved. I will always allow enough time to get the shots we need; Nappy change? No problem. Snack pit stop? You've got it.

Secondly, I have a lot of personal experience with both adults & children who may have additional needs. This has made me patient, understanding and versatile when it comes to my work.

Happy kids means happy parents, so I absolutely don't mind being led by the things that they want to do - it usually leads to me capturing the 'real' them anyway. Doing the thing they most enjoy.

There are two main things to take into account. Firstly, if there are children in your group, when are likely to be happiest? The most important thing for me is that everyone is enjoying themselves, so this is a major consideration. Secondly, when the light is going to be at its best. Depending on the time of year, this can often be later in the day – imagine soft evening sunlight. Bright summer sun in the middle of the day is not very flattering! If we are shooting in your home or another indoor venue then we can be a lot more flexible with timings. I'll always chat with you to see what suits your family best.

Absolutely not! One location means we pick your favourite spot. Where you are most comfortable. This could be in your own home, local beach or wooded area - and we find ALL the best spots to take pictures! Even home shoots can have variation. We can use the garden, take a short walk down the road or to a local park. We will find the perfect backdrop for your images!

If retouching is what you are looking for, then I am afraid I am not the photographer for you.
