The importance of being in the damn photo.
The years roll by faster than we realise, whilst we all have the best intension's to document each milestone as it arrives, life can quickly sweep you up in the daily chaos of priorities and work commitments. We try to savour those quiet moments, often perceiving them as mundane or uneventful. But it is within our daily life, those small moments can bring us the greatest joy. Stories unfold in the smallest of interactions, Legacies are built within the routines of our daily being. If you really think about it, the things you hold onto the tightest are usually the small trait or quirks found in the people we love. Defining moments can be disguised in joyful triumphs as we celebrate milestones, or stand mighty in the profound silence of a single moment.
I often hear people make excuses, on why they don't want to have their photo taken. Often this stems from our deepest insecurities about how we feel about ourselves. I want to challenge you to start the journey to embrace everything that makes you, you. To find peace with unique characteristics, to be proud of you & everything in your life that has led you to where you are now - and celebrate it!
Children grow, loved ones age and life as we know it can change in a single second. Life is to be lived. I believe photography can encapsulate those moments in time what will help us weather through the seasons of our life and be there for us on our worst days or if we have self doubt.
I don't just take photos with my camera - I capture your story, record discreet moments the often go unnoticed and give you memories to hold in your hands & heart, forever.
